IFC Region 1 Instream Flow Workshop
Folsom, California Tuesday Oct 3 – Wednesday Oct 4, 2023
The goal of the 2-day training workshop plus ½ day post workshop session is to educate Region 1 IFC Governing Council (GC) members, invited State Agency staff from Region 1, and IFC EXCOM members (optional) to learn, discuss and perform instream flow science and field techniques geared towards making instream flow recommendations.
The intent is to ensure all participating Region 1 GC members are confident in understanding and articulating instream flow principles and methodologies for their representative state and as GC members for the IFC. Training will be provided by IFC members and California Department of Fish and Wildlife staff.
NOTE: This training is supplemental to, but not to replace, the Biennial meeting provided by the IFC or future trainings provided by the Instream Flow and Water Level Conservation Training Center.
