Presentations now available

The IFC membership meets internally every two years to share approaches, tools, strategies, skills, and lessons learned firsthand and help our member agencies improve their instream flow and water level conservation effectiveness.

The central theme of this years meeting, member presentations, and discussion is around training and IFC support:

  • How has the IFC helped me to improve my job skills and program effectiveness

  • How will formal training and certification in the concepts, tools, and their applications in the discipline of instream flow and water level conservation assist and improve my and my agency effectiveness

  • What kind of skills do I think I am in most need of and that the proposed Instream Flow and Water Level Training Center should provide

Meeting Objectives

  • Share successes and challenges with flows and water levels stewardship.
  • Explore opportunities for improving integration of IFC participation in agency instream flow and water level conservation and related initiatives.
  • Participate in training on state-of-the-art instream flow and water level conservation techniques and approaches (science, public involvement, legal and institutional elements, etc.).
  • Problem solving through networking with our one-on-one membership expertise.

This meeting will include a welcome reception, member agency update presentations, regional meetings, plenty of discussion, and a banquet.

The more IFC member attendees that participate, the better the learning and benefits to IFC as a whole and each member. We encourage each of you to plan to attend and bring others from your agency that are involved in instream flow and water level management conservation.
