Action Planning #3: The Regional Context (Facilitated Discussions)
Many potential improvements to the integration of instream flow science, policy and public dialogue are regionally specific. There may be some ideas that may not be applicable to the full U.S. and Canada. Participants will have their choice of which regional discussion to participate in, to further refine previous Action Plan suggestions to make them applicable to their area, or to develop new region-specific suggestions for the Action Plan. Regions will include:
- Western US (AK, AZ, CA, CO, HI, ID, MT, NM, NV, OR, UT, WA, WY)
- Central US (IA, IL, IN, KS, MI, MN, MO, ND, NE, OH, SD, WI)
- Southeastern US (AL, AR, FL, GA, KY, LA, MS, NC, OK, SC, TN, TX, VA, WV)
- Northeastern US (CT, DE, MA, MD, ME, NH, NJ, NY, PA, RI, VT)
- Canada

The "Flow 2008 Action Plan" Comes Together
The evolving Flow 2008 Action Plan will be reviewed and refined through full conference participation. Spokespersons for each proposed action and region will respond to questions and the full group will work to refine the overall plan and related post-conference action on it. An attempt will be made to adopt the Action Plan by consensus.
Facilitated by Larry Susskind. |
